The Ron Crichlow Ensemble is group of lifelong friends united
in Christ that have come together to make a "joyful noise".
The founding members are childhood friends from East Elmhurst,
Queens, NY that form the heart & soul of the ensemble. They are Ron
Crichlow on drums, Randy Parks - bass and
siblings Reggie Spencer & Shirelle Woods- vocalists. Rounding
out the ensemble are Dennis Nelson on keyboards,
and Brian Taylor on guitar.
Members of the historic Leverich Memorial Church based in East
Elmhurst NY, The Ron Crichlow Gospel Ensemble originally came
together to offer a musical ministry to the congregation. Their
popularity grew with each performance and it was decided to formally
create an ensemble and they began the process of auditioning singers
to join the ensemble. The quest for the singers blessed the group
with the very talented members Richard Anderson, Tisha Hunter (back-up singer for James
"J.T." Taylor of Kool & The Gang fame), Octavia Harrell,
Chanique Rogers, Rose Tanis and Valerie Tanis.
This wonderful collective of individuals recorded their debut
release at the legendary Tony Bennett Studios in Englewood, N.J.
Stand-out tracks feature guest instrumentalists such as saxophonist
Tony Smith on "I Walk With God" and Grammy nominee, Senegalese Kora
master, Mamadou Diabate on "I Need A Blessing." With the fall 2007
release of the CD, "The Path," produced by Jamal Salter, the Ron
Crichlow Ensemble is poised for an anointing. |
